Energy Consultancy Services
Complementing our procurement expertise, our energy consultancy services mean Pulse provide a 360° approach to energy. Our team have a variety of specialities and technical expertise, from legislative knowledge in areas such as CCA applications, to new energy connections. We work to provide these services, with the goal of taking the headache out of commercial utility management and energy legislation compliance, and saving your business money.
For most businesses, we can identify further savings through one or more of the following areas:
Climate Change Agreements are a valuable resource if your industry is covered by one, but they are also a lot of work. Even if your industry is covered, application and ongoing reporting can be a burden that may outweigh the financial benefits. Pulse can evaluate your organisation for CCA compatibility, and undertake the initial application process, as well as ongoing reporting requirements.
We can assist with new connections, meter changeovers, disconnections and unmetered electricity, amongst other services related to utility meters. Our metering team have project management training that will ensure your job is completed as smoothly as possible and within your specified timeframes.
Our bill validation services are something we are really proud of. Our bespoke software will process each item on your energy bill and identify any over or under charging from your supplier. The whole process will be automated so you don’t even need to send us your bills, and we will follow up any discrepancies in your bills with your supplier.
Energy Budget Management
We provide budgeting software tools and bespoke energy budget spreadsheets that analyse cost year on year and show which sections of your budgets have increased or decreased. Our budgeting and management data has received Board-level recognition and commendation from businesses in a wide range of industries.
Our energy consultancy services are also a great way to save your organisation time and effort by taking away some of the administrative burden associated with compulsory schemes such as:
Our Carbon Reduction Commitment services will assist your organisation with whichever stage of the process you are in. Our experts have assisted clients with many of the complexities of the scheme, from registration or late registration, to obtaining energy supplier reports, and purchasing and surrendering carbon allowances. In 2016, the Government announced the CRC scheme would be cut at the end of the phase, though qualifying organisations will be required to comply through to 2019.
ESOS, Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme, mandates energy audits for organisations of a certain size based on employee numbers or financial criteria. In Phase I of the scheme (2011-2015), Pulse assisted over 20 organisations with ESOS assessment and compliance. While the December 2015 deadline for compliance has passed, our Qualified Lead Assessor can work with you towards late Phase I compliance, or provide assistance with your Phase II assessment.
